Peter M. Ceci, 64

YOUNGSTOWN – Peter M. Ceci, 64, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008 after battling a long illness.
He was born Jan. 11, 1944 in Youngstown, the son of Peter and Mary (Joseph) Ceci.

He was a native Westsider and graduate of Chaney High school and Choffin School of Restaurant Management.

A manager for Morgan Restaurants and supervisor for Red Barn systems, he later owned and operated several Red Barn Restaurants in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York that became known as The Farm Family Restaurants. Throughout the years he was very active in the restaurant industry winning several awards for sales and service. He later retired to Vero Beach, Fla.

In recent years, he returned to Youngstown to be near his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and frequent trips to Florida to visit his brother and nephews.

He leaves behind his beloved 10 children, Richard (Victoria) Ceci, Mary Ceci, Karen Kim, Michael (Holly) Ceci, Amy (Hossein) Mirzai, Peter (Peg) Ceci, James (Mary) Ceci, Molly Ceci, Daniel Ceci, and Abbey Ceci; as well as his former wife, Mavis (Carney) Ceci; and five grandchildren, Joseph Kim, Kaleigh Ceci, Maria Mirzai, and Kyah and Gabrielle Ceci. He also leaves a brother, Mark (Meg) Ceci; nephews, Chris, Craig (Cori), and Scott Ceci; and niece, Jennifer Ceci.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Mark Ceci; and a brother, Leonard Ceci.

The Red Barn lost a dear member of it's family this past year, Pete Ceci.  Pete was one of Red Barn's most admired owners and it's only fitting that there is a page on dedicated to Pete.  Our deepest sympathy to Pete's family and friends, he will be greatly missed.
